Donations and Gift Aid etc

There are several ways in which you can make a donation to the upkeep of the church

1.  The easiest way, that many of us use frequently, is donate by card payment online.  Options on frequency are set out below

Make a One-off Donation

The donation can be for any amount, but with a minimum of £10 to cover our costs of collection. Payment can be made through Paypal, either as a transfer if you have a Paypal account, or by using a credit / debit card through Paypal. Alternatively you can donate with a debit or credit card using Swipe. Both payment gateways are well used in online transactions nationally and internationally and have proved secure. please click here to make your donation.

Make a Monthly Donation

Making a regular donation has been set up in 'steps' as the system doesn't allow for 'any amount' to be chosen. Payment can be made through Paypal, either by transfer if you have a Paypal account, or by using a credit / debit card through Paypal. Alternatively you can donate with a debit or credit card using Swipe. Both payment gateways are well used in online transactions nationally and internationally and have proved secure.  Please click here to make your donation.

2.  For those who bank online, you could use your own Banking Application (on your phone or computer)

A 'one-off' payment is easy, and a number of online banking applications also enable you to instruct your bank directly to set up regular standing orders.

So we can collect the Gift Aid element, please complete your details online as set out in the section below.

3.  Alternatively, if you don't wish to donate online, you can download a form that you can print, complete, and sign.

Following completion of the form, tear off the bank instruction and send it directly to your bank, and the donations and gift aid bit please send to us - either find a committee member you know or pop it into the post to the Friends of Barham Church, Spire House, High Street, Barham, CT4 6NZ.  Click here to get the form.

Thank you for your kind donation towards preserving this fine and historic place.

You can increase your contribution by 25% if you

Gift Aid your donations

Under current tax legislation charities can claim up to 25% on top of donations received - ie £2.50 on every £10 donated. To claim Gift Aid on your donation, however, we need your confirmation that you wish us to collect the gift aid on your donations, and we also need some basic details please, such as your name and address. Clicking on the blue button below will enable you to complete or amend the information needed.

Once the form is visible and your data added, by ticking 'YES' in the gift aid section, you will be confirming
1. that you want to Gift Aid your donations you make now and any donations made in the future or have made in the past 4 years to the Friends of Barham Church, and
2. that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in the relevant tax year then it is your responsibility to re-pay any difference to HMRC. (And, for the same reason, if your circumstances change and you no longer pay enough tax to enable gift aid to be recovered, it's important to update the charities you support so they don't continue claiming the Gift Aid on your donations.)

And thank you again for your kind donation towards preserving this fine and historic place.
